Pier 17 Restaurant, Guernsey

Set at the tip of Guernsey’s historic Albert Pier, Pier 17 is a modern restaurant serving up outstanding views of St. Peter Port harbour at Guernsey’s Castle Cornet. Perfectly placed to serve the very best of Guernsey’s daily catch, Pier 17 specialises in Guernsey seafood and local island produce, served in a contemporary European fashion.

Head Chef’s Seamus Duggan’s menu keeps a focus on local fish and seafood whilst offering a varied selection of meats and vegetarian dishes. The starter menu offers great value for money, including 13 dishes that all fall below the £8.00 mark. Pan-fried prawns and calamari sit beside a luxurious local crab and scallop thermidor and warming seafood chowder, as well as exciting dishes of seared beef salad and warm smoked duck.

Pier 17’s selection of main courses offer a taste for everyone, from traditional flavours of herb-crusted lamb and pan-fried brill with lemon butter to the spicier realms of aubergine stacks and lime & ginger roasted sea bass fillet. The crowning glory of the menu comes in the form of ‘Seamus’ Scallops’ and the Chateaubriand steak for two.

Pier 17’s value dishes continue with the small but perfectly-formed dessert menu. Sweet traditional treats are priced at £5.95, including a tempting white chocolate & Bailey’s cheesecake and a warming sticky toffee pudding. The restaurant’s wine list is spread across the new world and traditional European wines, with fantastic value house wines starting at £13.95.

An ideal location for sight-seeing whilst enjoying the very best tastes that Guernsey has to offer, Pier 17 should be added to every visitor’s foodie diary.
