Guernsey Festival Line Up Finalised!

Guernsey Festival 2012 With only a month to go until Guernsey opens its festival doors, the organisers of the 2012 Guernsey Festival have announced the final line up.

Headlining the main stage on Saturday 23rd June will be Macy Gray, the Grammy award-winning American soul singer, famous for her worldwide hit single, ‘I Try’. Macy gray’s appearance comes hot off the back of her Covered album, featuring cover versions of hits such as The Eurythmics’ ‘Here Comes The Rain Again’ and Radiohead’s ‘Creep’.

On Sunday 24th June, festival goers will be treated to a headline set from Kaiser Chiefs, part of the noughties British indie revolution and noted for hit singles such as ‘I Predict A Riot’, ‘Ruby’ and ‘Oh My God’. If Kaiser Chiefs’ previous UK festival performances are anything to go by, the festival weekend should close with a bang of British rock and witty northern humour.

The line up is completed by a host of established artists, up-and-coming performers and local musicians. Saturday sees artists such as folk-rapper Maverick Sabre, British dance-punk band Hadouken! and London-based blues rockers Little Barrie performing, with 90s indie heroes The Charlatans, legendary 2 Tone band The Selecter and drum n bass DJ Shy FX taking to the stages on Sunday.

The 2012 Guernsey Festival takes place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th June. We offer flight, ticket and accommodation packages from the UK and Jersey, please visit our Guernsey Festival page for more details.
