In September Guernsey’s skies welcome the Guernsey Air display, an absolute treat and thrill for anyone with a love of planes and history. For a couple of hours the east coast of the island becomes a giant stage for Lancasters, Spitfires and Hurricanes’ flights of pride.
The display never fails to impress, with such spectacular exhibitions as the Wildcats Aerobatics Formation Display Team and the legendary Red Arrows finale.
The full programme will be announced closer to the event.
The whole family will find something to enjoy during the “Meet the Pilots” afternoon at the airport on the day before the Display. There will be a unique chance to see some of the most iconic WWII aircraft up close.
To enjoy the best views of the Display, find a spot anywhere around St.Peter Port Harbour - White Rock pier, Castle Cornet Breakwater or the East breakwater. The planes will fly overhead north and south of the coast.
The Best Western Moores Hotel is only a stone's throw from St. Peter Port harbour and sea front, providing guests with a perfect base from which to explore Guernsey.
