GSY Island Games 2023

8th July - 14th July

About the Games

Guernsey are delighted to be the first member Island to host the games three times and look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Bailiwick for the 2023 NatWest International Island Games.

Across the jam-packed week you will see up to 3000 competitors, support teams and technical officials travel to and compete in Guernsey across a variety of sports. Up to 1000 Volunteers and Games Makers are also involved and without their support and giving of their time the games will not be possible to take place.

The host island can choose between 12 and 14 sports from a list of 18. To compete in the games, you must have been born in a member island or have lived in the Island for 12 months prior to the games.

Guernsey has selected a variety of disciplines including Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Cycling, Golf, Sailing, Swimming and Triathlon to name a few. Currently there are 24 members signed up to the games, we could be welcoming competitors from far and wide such as Aland, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Gotland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Menorca, Orkney, St Helena or Ynys Mon.

The full programme of events will be announced closer to the start of the games.
