About the festival
Sark Folk Festival is one of the main events of the year in Sark, providing a weekend of fantastic music, great food and stunning views.
For three days only, Sark's population triples as it celebrates traditional and contemporary folk music. Playing, singing and dancing happen all around the island in various venues from fields to pubs, hotels to cafés. The online folk and roots magazine Spiral Earth said in 2013 about the Sark Folk Festival that it has that 'magic ratio of quality music, atmosphere and location'. The beauty of the island definitely takes on another dimension when admired with music. You can even get involved and play your own instrument at one of the scheduled or impromptu open music sessions - the organisers provide a festival Tunebook to encourage people to join in.
