About the Guernsey Town Carnival
Also known as "La Faete d'la Musique a la Ville" the Town Carnival is a music festival which brings internationally-renowned artists to the island and takes place at various locations around St. Peter Port during the first week of the local schools summer holidays.
The entertainment is kicked off on the first day of the Carnival with a parade winding its way through St Peter Port to end at Church Square, where the first scheduled performances will take place. This year the parade will start at 11am and will be led through town by the Guernsey Scout Band, including the Guernsey Majorettes and the Guernsey Dancers.
The acts are a variety of both local and UK artists that will appeal to all ages, making the Town Carnival fun for all the family. This year, the entertainment will include singers, musicians, dancers and clowns who performed across a range of venues. Imaginjack, Classiccool, Fidgety Feet, the University of Chichester Brass Quintet as well as street jazz and Punch and Judy shows are all expected to delight everyone.
